Are you experiencing physical pain, dysfunction, instability and restricted movement?
Poor posture, injury, chronic stress and trauma can cause areas of your connective tissue to distort, tighten, or become unsupportive. Over time, patterns of chronic tension and bracing can develop due to the body’s instinctual response to protect itself. This leads to pain, dysfunction, instability and restricted movement.
I can help release these painful patterns of tension and bracing, restore normal shape, length and elasticity to your connective tissue and improve the structure and function of your body.
Trauma doesn’t just impact your mind; it reshapes your body and how you carry yourself through the world.
Rolfing offers a way to release the physical and emotional weight of trauma, helping you reconnect with your body in a deeper, more empowered way. As a Certified Advanced Rolfer, I draw from 20+ years of experience and multiple methods of intervention to tailor sessions to your specific needs. Each session builds upon the results of the previous sessions in a cumulative process. This hands-on approach goes beyond typical bodywork. As you can see in the picture, results are visible and long-lasting.
Imagine standing taller, breathing easier, and feeling more present in your own body.
Many people who have tried Rolfing report not just less pain but a profound sense of relief; as if they’ve finally let go of something they’ve been carrying for too long.
My practice is intended to be a collaboration between the two of us.
It is important that you feel empowered to actively participate in your sessions, ask questions, notice positive changes and talk with me about how you experience the process. Healing is not something done to you. Healing is a reconnection to yourself that arises organically out of our collaboration.
Following a Rolfing session, you may notice that you feel less pain.
In addition, you may notice:
🌿 Feeling taller, stronger, calmer, more grounded or more energized.
🌱 Improvement in your overall level of health.
🌿 More vitality, enhanced physical performance, greater flexibility and improved balance.
🌱 As you progress through your sessions, chronic discomforts may begin to disappear.
🌿 As you embrace these positive changes, you may also begin to feel more present and connected to yourself and less affected by chronic stress and tension in your daily life.
Rolfing can help increase your level of self-awareness.
Through our work together, you have the opportunity to gain improved awareness of how it feels to be in your body and move through the world. The most important benefit you may receive from your sessions with me is conscious awareness of your own unhelpful habits.
This conscious awareness gives you the power to make positive changes for yourself. When you become able to notice your own unhelpful habits, it becomes easy to shift to healthier habits which support your ability to maintain your overall health and sense of internal balance.
You are likely to meet or surpass your initial goals as we work together.
If you have had severe postural problems or have experienced physical trauma, multiple injuries or surgeries, you may feel the desire to schedule additional appointments as we work through your original goals and see that more improvement is possible. Or you may choose to come in for periodic tune-ups.
Rolf Movement® Integration sessions improve core strength and healthy coordination.
Movement Integration sessions are a great way to make the most out of the positive changes you get from your sessions with me. Through the practice of slow movement and exercises that expand your perceptual awareness, we can improve your sense of balance, coordination and core strength. We can use movement exploration as part of a session, or do a series of movement sessions tailored to your specific interests and needs.

Testimonial:
“In 2006 I was hit by a car while on a walk and damaged my L4, L5, S1, and a pars fracture resulting in a spondylolisthesis. I had been taking morphine extended release 3 times a day for a year. I began researching Rolfing and found Stephanie Stolte. I completed 10 sessions with her, by the 7th I had weaned myself off of the morphine. Her Rolfing technique and experience changed my world and my life, I still continue to see her every so often for a tune up. I have and will continue to recommend Stephanie for Rolfing.”
