I launched my Rolfing practice in 2001 with a vision of helping people in my community recover from postural problems and soft tissue injuries that don’t respond well to standard medical treatment. Over many years, I continued my education in Structural Integration and Rolf Movement Education, eventually becoming a Certified Advanced Rolfer in 2019. I understand how hard it can be to find the right kind of help. As a young adult, I suffered for years after being injured by a drunk driver in a car accident. Once I completed the Rolfing process, I felt better than I did before the accident.
In 2013 I completed a three year training in Somatic Experiencing®. In 2016 I completed a two year training in The NeuroAffective Relational Model™ and attended the NARM Masters Training in 2019. In addition, I have spent hundreds of hours training with Kathy Kain in her field of Somatic Practice along with several other master teachers with specific knowledge regarding the treatment of trauma. This in-depth learning process has enhanced my ability to help people who are suffering from chronic stress, chronic pain, chronic illness and trauma. During these trainings, I discovered how the trauma I experienced in early childhood and young adulthood continued to negatively affect my life.
Today, I am dedicated to working through my own healing, as well as participating in the most current, specialized training in the treatment of adults who have suffered early childhood trauma. People with early trauma often suffer from a variety of chronic health problems for decades without getting the right kind of help. To my knowledge, I’m the only person with this training in our part of the Central Valley.
Clients have sought me out to assist them in healing from lifelong postural problems, car accidents, athletic injuries, job-related repetitive stress injuries, neck and back pain, tension headaches, sciatica, joint problems and chronic illnesses like fibromyalgia. Others have sought to heal from the effects of chronic stress and chronic pain as well as physical, emotional, developmental, generational and cultural trauma. Whatever your goals may be, I’m here to help you get the results you want.
